Catherine Mcintosh is the daughter of famed Claremont-based ceramicist, Harrison McIntosh and his artist/teacher wife Marguerite.
Growing up in this suburban art colony, her friends were often the children of other well-known artists. As an adult Catherine created Claremont Art Kids to maintain the sense of community they all experienced so many years ago. In so doing, she followed in her mother's footsteps who is one of the founders of the Claremont Museum of Art. Catherine and her family lived down the street from the Zornes and Catherine, a former photo editor for a major metropolitan newspaper, remains active in the Claremont Arts Community being one of the leaders of the annual Padua Hills Arts Fiesta. We particularly appreciate her knowledge and willingness to put us in touch with the Claremont Arts community of then and now.
